Visit the aluminum Christmas tree forest during our free holiday open house. Enjoy holiday music, homemade cookies, browse our bake sale, make old fashioned Christmas ornaments and search for unique gifts in the gift shop. Lighted by antique color wheels once used to light aluminum trees in the living rooms of the 1950s and ’60s, the display conveys Christmas glow we've come to know. The display will remain up from 1 to 4 p.m. weekdays through Jan. 8 at the museum, 6422 Main St., Union; and on weekends by special appointment. Regular museum admission prices apply. For information call 815-923-2267 or visit www.GotHistory.org.
